You are invited to follow the links below to the rules, quick reference sheet, event cards and commander cards that I have written for wargaming the French Wars of Religion in 2mm.
I have found that these have made for enjoyable games with my group of wargamers, and give a good flavour of the period. As with any set of rules they are my interpretation of the warfare conducted at the time according to the research I have undertaken.
Feel free to disagree with my conclusions, and please accept that the rules are open to future improvement and development. The Commander Cards are an area for future attention and remain incomplete but still provide plenty of options.
You can play the game without the Action and Event Cards, and can replace the bidding with opposed dice rolls. Likewise, the Commander Cards are not required but each leader will need to be given ratings for morale and unit activation dice.
